Sports & Recovery

sports & recovery

We perform a full performance based assessment to determine any and all limitations that might be hindering you from your game and/or fitness routine. Hands-on therapy and exercises are designed to combine structural, functional, and corrective techniques to facilitate a faster recovery and return to your sport and active lifestyle.

recovery sessions:

Recovery sessions are an effective means for injury prevention and recovery from exercise and activity. Great for active people of every level.

  • Myofascial Release - Helps relieve pain by releasing the fascia that envelopes the muscles, allowing muscles to move more freely and with less restrictions.

  • Dry Needling - Treats trigger points (hyper-irritable spots within muscles) by decreasing banding or tightness, increasing blood flow, and reducing local and referred pain to break the pain-spasm-pain cycle.

  • Cupping (Myofascial Decompression) - Helps increase blood flow to the muscles and surrounding connective tissues to stimulate and enhance the natural healing process. It is also an effective method of releasing toxins from the tissues.

  • Kinesiotaping - Used to facilitate an underactive muscle or inhibit an overactive muscle to allow for improved muscle function.

  • Therapeutic Exercise Training - Functional exercises prescribed to correct impairments, restore muscular function and postural faults, and/or maintain a state of well being.

  • Deep Stretching - Deliberate lengthening of muscles in order to increase muscle flexibility and joint range of motion.

I love that my PT with Tamra doesn’t end when I walk out of the rehab room. We are constantly working together and figuring out what’s the best way for my body to recover. I can’t thank Tamra enough for her help in keeping me healthy on the tennis court.
